Knights of Columbus Council 6658 was recognized by the CCISD Board of Trustees for supporting the Stuff the Bus with school supplies program. Thanks to the generosity of Holy Family parishioners, the Knights were able to donate backpacks filled with school supplies and hoodies.

Knights of Columbus Essay Contest 2022 winners
The Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 6658 recently held its annual Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove, TX.
The Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest was created to “involve young Catholics in civic discourse and instill in them religious and life affirming values.”
The theme for the essay this year was “How can young Catholics evangelize our faith to families and friends who have turned away from religion and encourage them to return to the Church and embrace the sacraments.”
The essay competition was open to grades 8-12, and this year four competitors received awards.
The first-place winner was Matilda Cannon, who was presented $250. The second-place winner was Fatima Punzalan, who was presented $150. The third-place winner was Brayden Crook, who was given $100. The fourth-place winner was Pe’ela Palemene, who was given $50. All four competitors received two certificates and a Rosary for their accomplishment.

Who are the Knights of Columbus?
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society comprised of practicing Catholic Gentlemen and founded upon the principles of charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights were originally formed to render financial aid to members and their families, and to mutually reinforce Catholic Gentlemen in their faith. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works. Knights of Columbus charitable works are carried out at the Parish/Local, National, and International levels.
Blessed Pope John Paul II called the Knights of Columbus the “Right Arm of the Church”. Consider joining this worthy organization as a means of extending your contribution to charitable works.
